April 2024 Minutes Annual Parish Meeting
Minutes of the Swineshead Annual Parish Meeting which took place in St. Mary’s Church Hall, Market Place, Swineshead PE20 3LJ on Wednesday 24 April 2024
Present: Councillor Carl Gibbard, Chairman of Swineshead Parish Council, the Clerk to the Council, Mrs Victoria Clark, Joanne Sanders, Fundraiser for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and 16 members of the public.
Refreshments were served before proceedings started at 6pm, giving people a chance to talk to the Representatives of Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, Lincolnshire, Boston Borough and Parish Councillors.
1. Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance team will give a talk
Joanne gave a very interesting and informative talk on the history and running of the organisation including many facts.

3. Notes from the Annual Parish meeting held on Monday 16 May 2023:
To resolve as a correct record by those that attended last year’s meeting and for the Chairman of the meeting to sign the official minutes
On proposal from Councillor Sean Trafford, seconded by Councillor David Lemon and with no objections it was resolved to accept the minutes as a true record of the meeting.
4. To receive a Council Financial report for 2023/2024
Everyone attending had a copy of the accounts and no-one had any questions

5. To receive and accept accounts from the following Swineshead charities and organisations:
i. Swineshead Life
ii. John Butler Charity
iii. Swineshead Poor Charity
iv. Village Hall Committee
v. Harlock’s Charity
vi. Swineshead Enhancement Society
6. To review council representatives for charity and organisation committees and agree on council representatives of each committee for 2024/25

7. Short comments and statements from residents
i. Swineshead Library was mentioned
ii. A member of the public offered to help the council in the organisation and fund raising of a skate park, the council has been looking at costing and available land.
The meeting was closed at 7.29pm
